DR. LUZ E. MONTOYA-NINO

Dr. Luz E. Montoya-Nino was born and raised in Colombia. She received her Dental Degree from CES University in Medellín. She then attended Javeriana University in Bogotá where she completed a two years Endodontic program and received her degree as Specialist in Endodontics (1990). In 1995 she moved with her husband to the USA and in 1997 she obtained her Texas Dental License.

Dr. Montoya-Nino was a Lecturing professor at CES University, professor at the University of Antioquia in Colombia (1992-1995), and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston (1998).

Dr. Montoya-Nino regularly attends continuing education courses and seminars to stay abreast of developments in the field of Endodontics. She is proficient in modern endodontic techniques including use of the surgical operating microscope and CBCT scan, limited field of view interpretation. She has had tremendous experience performing root canal treatment, retreatment, and surgical root repair

She has been in private practice in Houston since 1997. She enjoys traveling, dancing, exercising and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Montoya-Nino is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, The Greater Houston Dental Society, Hispanic Dental Association and associate member of the American Association of Endodontics.
